Living In The Moment

Living In The Moment

You’ve heard people talk about “living in the moment.”

But what does that mean?

Well, as one of our therapist friends put it, it means not being too much in your head, and experiencing what’s around you. It can be easier said than done, some would say, but it’s a goal for a lot of people.

But how do you do that?

For individuals, living in the moment involves different techniques for reframing their mental outlook on things.

But let’s talk about what it means for an event planner! Planning an event is no small task, and it can seem daunting, and raise all kinds of other feelings, too. But with the right help, putting on an event can be fun!

A Place and Time

With our experience helping out with events like galas, conferences, art exhibits and more, we’ve seen what event planners are dealing with as they put something together for a crowd.

It starts with imagining what’s supposed to be going on at a certain place and time. Then you extend from that out to the design elements – what the tables will look like, how the space will be lit, etc.

There’s really a lot of detail to work on, which is where we come in. We take the plan that the event planner has drawn (with a careful eye) and flesh it out to include all of the logistics and nuts and bolts that will mean everything is up to par when people finally do gather.

Light, Sound and Spectacle

When you break it down to a certain point, you’re dealing with the senses. You’re looking at lighting and sound as well as the aesthetic of a space, where you could say that part of the event is the scene that it sets.

Lots of these event planners are putting together something that will be a fundraiser for an important cause or will foster some sort of business outcome.

So how they work is important, and we know that: we’re with them every step of the way. ‘Go momentous’ with a GoMomentous service that provides for every occasion, and leaves no stone unturned in seeking the detail-oriented approach, and paying attention to your to-do list, that will help your event to be all that it can be for the future.

In the end, isn’t all of this really what you want out of an event planning service?

It’s more than the sum of its parts in putting together the right kinds of sourcing that will create that visual appeal and sensory experience that you want your guests to have. Then, on the day big day, everything runs smoothly, and you really have room to take in your guest speakers and everything else that’s happening from a position of confidence and poise!
