Event Venues in Greater Palm Springs: Where We Have Produced

Last updated

MOMENTOUS has produced galas, conferences and celebrations in museums, resort ballrooms, a zoo, a concert theatre, a club and restaurants across Greater Palm Springs. This guide lists eleven venues where a published case study shows our work, with the city, the space we used, a link to the event, and each venue's own capacity figures.

Which venues have you produced in, and what did it look like?

Every venue below appears in at least one published MOMENTOUS case study. The "space used" column describes what the case study shows, not every room the venue offers. Cities are taken from each venue's own website.

Which venues suit 100, 300 or 1,000 guests?

The guest counts in our case studies give a real answer: nearly 1,000 in the Palm Springs Air Museum hangars, 400 to 550 in resort ballrooms in Rancho Mirage, and 250 to 350 for conferences and themed galas. For smaller groups, venues such as The Living Desert publish rooms and patios for 40 to 250 guests on their own sites.

Published capacities, from each venue

These figures are quoted from the venues' own websites (the Westin Mission Hills row links to the City of Rancho Mirage, which lists the resort). Room capacity changes with the setup (theater, banquet or reception), so treat them as a starting point and confirm the layout with the venue.

What does each venue need brought in?

It depends on the venue and the event, and the case studies show the range. A hangar or a zoo lawn starts nearly empty, so the structure, décor and technical production all come in. A resort ballroom or a concert theatre has a room to work with, and the work is in changing how it looks and how guests move through it.

MOMENTOUS services include venue sourcing, recommendations and negotiations, along with floor plans, diagrams, elevations and renderings for the space. The notes below describe what each case study shows we built. For the staging, sound, lighting and video side, see technical production.

Palm Springs Air Museum, Palm Springs

The museum's aircraft hangars are a blank, oversized room, and we have used them more than any other venue on this list. For Modernism Week Opening Night 2026 the team reworked more than 20,000 square feet of hangar space for nearly 1,000 guests. Center Stage 2025 ran across two 20,000 square foot hangars, and the Air Museum Gala 2024 used several hangars, with a stealth fighter jet dramatically revealed to guests.

Palm Springs Art Museum, Palm Springs

Art Party is staged inside the museum itself. In Art Party 2025, 400 guests began with an outdoor cocktail reception in a sculpture garden, then moved to the museum theater for a live art auction. For Saks Fifth Avenue we set an intimate dinner on the museum's exterior campus.

The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens, Palm Desert

Zoobilee is staged inside a pavilion structure. The pavilion has measured 7,000 square feet (2023), 8,000 square feet (2026) and, for the 50th Anniversary Gala, 12,000 square feet staged in the round. Earlier years used a 10,000 square foot climate-controlled pavilion, with the cocktail reception and silent auction held outdoors.

Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage, Rancho Mirage

We work in two rooms here. The ballrooms host galas such as A Night To Remember 2026 for 400 guests and Stepping Out For COD 2026. For The Desert Symphony, the gala is set on the floor of The Show, the casino's concert theatre. In 2022, theater seats were removed and dining tables set in for 225 VIP guests.

Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa, Rancho Mirage

The grand ballroom held Color The World 2023 for 450 guests and the 2024 edition for 400, each with dinner, awards, a live auction and a full concert with dancing. In 2026 the resort hosted Availity Connects, a multi-day conference for which MOMENTOUS delivered destination experiences, décor, entertainment and evening events with custom activations.

The Westin Mission Hills, Rancho Mirage

Between 2017 and 2019 we produced six galas here, including the Passions Ball 2018 for 550 guests and The Disco Ball for more than 350. For the Waring Gala 2019, the ballroom became a multi-dimensional environment for Chinese acrobats, musical acts and a 40-person chorale. The City of Rancho Mirage lists The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort and Spa among the city's resorts.

The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage

United Way of the Desert's Hot Havana Nights brought 350 guests to the resort for a themed gala that carried its theme through every part of the evening.

Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa, Indian Wells

In January 2026, 250 leaders met here for the Colas USA Leadership Conference. The program combined general sessions with offsite adventures and evenings at the Grove, where "ColaChella" brought a festival atmosphere, followed by a Rat Pack-inspired celebration with live music by the Martini Kings.

The Vintage Club, Indian Wells

For the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center's Passion To Prevent celebration, we divided the ballroom into two spaces: one for dinner, and a cabaret showroom for a surprise performance by Ann Hampton Callaway and Liz Callaway.

Spencer's, Palm Springs

Spencer's private event space has hosted two of our events: the Cathedral City Senior Center's Club 40 anniversary and a private client dinner.

Lavender Bistro, La Quinta

Color the World 2026 opened with a reception on the Old Town Artisan Studios campus, then moved more than 300 guests across the street to Lavender Bistro, where we set the outdoor venue for dinner and awards under the desert sky.

Which venues allow outside production, catering and late sound?

Each venue sets its own rules on outside vendors, catering and sound, and those rules can change between seasons, so they need to be confirmed with the venue for each event rather than taken from a published list. As general guidance, ask early about exclusive caterers, approved vendor lists, sound curfews, and load-in and strike windows, because each can shape the design. MOMENTOUS handles venue contracting and negotiation as part of destination services, and off premise catering where a venue allows it.

Published case studies show MOMENTOUS events at the Palm Springs Air Museum, Palm Springs Art Museum, The Living Desert, Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage, Omni Rancho Las Palmas, The Westin Mission Hills, The Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage, Renaissance Esmeralda, The Vintage Club, Spencer's and Lavender Bistro.

The Palm Springs Air Museum hangars have hosted nearly 1,000 guests for Modernism Week Opening Night and the Air Museum Gala. Several resort ballrooms in Rancho Mirage and Indian Wells publish capacities above 1,000 as well.

Each figure is quoted from the venue's own website and linked. Where a venue does not publish one, the table says to ask the venue.

Yes. Venue sourcing, recommendations and negotiations are part of MOMENTOUS event services, along with floor plans, renderings and the full production.
